The new CruiseCraft Executive 700 has been put to the test by Master Builders Queensland Executive Director Graham Cuthbert during an early morning boat test.
CruiseCraft's latest release is a fully appointed weekend cruiser and, according to Graham, really delivers on internal space and headroom.
“I'm 6'7” tall and headroom is incredibly important for a person my height. I was able to stand under the cabin hardtop and in the galley without any problems. And there is incredible seated headroom in the bunk area,” said Graham.
“The handling and seaworthiness of the hull is excellent. The hull delivered a smooth ride travelling through a messy chop and displayed impeccable manners in a following sea.”
Graham Cuthbert believes that the CruiseCraft Executive 700 will impress the ‘better halves' of all fishing enthusiasts with a fully appointed galley, separate shower/toilet facility and enough seating and storage for extended weekend trips.
The test boat featured a 260hp Mercruiser sterndrive that pushed the hull to an economical cruising speed of between 40 km/h to 50 km/h and Graham Cuthbert expects customers to be more than happy with this engine combination.
“I've had several of these engines in the past and the 260hp Mercruiser is perfect for this hull. It delivers excellent power on to the plane and will provide exceptional economy on long trips.”
The CruiseCraft Executive 700 won further points with its uncomplicated design and uncluttered internal layout. Loading and unloading the boat proved effortless and although decent 4WD is needed to tow the rig, Graham is sure the Executive 700 will appeal to a broad market including tall boaters like himself.
“It's such a relief to step onboard a trailerable cruiser where I can comfortably move around the entire boat. The deck design works to my favour and I'm sure will impress all who step aboard”.
