CruiseCraft has established a new partnership with Mercury Marine to deliver dedicated CruiseCraft boats with factory fitted Mercury outboard packages. Under the new agreement, select CruiseCraft models will be factory rigged and packaged with either Mercury Optimax direct-injection 2-Stroke or Verado supercharged 4-Stroke engines.

CruiseCraft and Mercury Marine have worked together to provide not only a price competitive package, but also the assurance of quality with a fully factory rigged boat and outboard motor packaged together at the Brisbane based CruiseCraft factory.

“This is great news not only for CruiseCraft customers but it also represents a giant milestone in the year that CruiseCraft celebrates their 60th birthday, said Peter Benston, Sales and Marketing Manager at CruiseCraft.

“Our new factory rigged Mercury powered CruiseCraft models deliver new levels of quality and guaranteed performance to our customers. When a CruiseCraft/Mercury package leaves our factory, it’s ready for the water in absolutely every respect.”

“In many ways this is a logical extension of our manufacturing process where for many years, we have been fitting MerCruiser sterndrives into select CruiseCraft models.”

All equipment from the boat, motor, trailer, instrumentation and the choice of propeller has all been specifically matched by CruiseCraft designers to best suit the boaters needs.

All three CruiseCraft Resort outboard models and CruiseCraft Outsider models plus the CruiseCraft Explorer 575 and 625 will be a part of the exclusive Mercury package offering. Mercury models most likely to be packaged will be the Optimax 135hp to 225hp outboards and the Verado 135hp to 275hp outboard engines.

The new CruiseCraft boat and Mercury outboard packages are available through all authorised CruiseCraft dealers and represent great boating value for both family boating enthusiasts and blue water anglers alike.

The new arrangement with Mercury does not impact upon customers who wish to order their CruiseCraft boat with an alternative brand of outboard engine.

“Customers can still specify another brand of outboard,” Peter Benston said, “and our CruiseCraft dealer will gladly fit the engine and rig the boat at the dealership level.”

CruiseCraft celebrates their 60th Anniversary in 2006 and is looking forward to further establishing itself as Australia’s first choice in the fibreglass trailerboat market.

CruiseCraft is a wholly family owned, third generation Australian boat manufacturing business, operating from their Brisbane manufacturing facility. CruiseCraft boats are distributed exclusively through a network of authorised Dealers throughout Australia and selected international markets.
