CruiseCraft Boats has announced a realignment in the senior management area with the appointment of Peter Benston to the position of Sales and Marketing Manager.

Peter assumes the position previously held by Danny Nichols who, after a changeover period, will move to Wynnum Marine. Danny Nichols will continue to remain in the administrative area of CruiseCraft Boats and the Nichols family business interest in the marine industry.

In his new Sales and Marketing role, Peter Benston is responsible for the progressive development of all CruiseCraft dealers both locally and overseas. He is also heading up all promotional and advertising projects undertaken both in Australia and throughout CruiseCrafts' international markets.

Having worked in association with the Ford brand for over 35 years, Peter Benston brings a wealth of knowledge and industry experience to his new position. For over 10 years, he worked directly for Ford developing and supporting car dealerships. Peter Benston made Brisbane his home for over 17 years working at Bryan Byrt Ford as Business Centre Manager leading a sales team of 16 people. He has also worked for a number of Ford dealerships in Melbourne.

“We are very excited to have a person onboard who brings such a wealth of experience and a firm direction for the future of CruiseCraft Boats,” said Danny Nichols.

“I could not think of a better person than Peter Benston to take up this position. The automotive industry is renowned for it's' professionalism and dealer development and we look forward to Peter developing the CruiseCraft brand on all levels, from our head office to the dealer showroom floor.”

Peter Benston brings the same exacting standards of professionalism found in the automotive industry to his new role in working with the extensive CruiseCraft dealer network.

“We will build on brand awareness and draw consumers to the CruiseCraft dealer showrooms,” said Peter Benston.

“Dealers have the potential to create a whole new dynamic look and feel throughout their retail business and I look forward to working alongside the dealer group to help build on the already solid foundation of the CruiseCraft brand.”

An added strength of Peter Benston's appointment is that he has a life long affinity with recreational boating. Although he enjoys pleasure boating at a more sedate level these days, his original passion can be found in the high horsepower world of performance boating.

“After our success at the AMIF Boat of the Year awards and the imminent arrival of our luxury line of Executive cruisers, there has never been a more exciting time to be involved with CruiseCraft Boats.”
