There’s no better time than the Christmas festive season to go boating and make new friends. While the focus of Team CruiseCraft activities is predominantly aimed at fishing tournaments, social gatherings for the whole family are also an important part of the annual program. With the majority of Team CruiseCraft members and their families situated in Queensland, it is only natural that a family day in south east Queensland will attract lots of boats and even more boaters. The most recent Team CruiseCraft family day was conducted at a location called the Bedroom on the northern end of South Stradbroke Island on the Gold Coast. More than 40 CruiseCraft boats with almost 200 people attended the event at the Bedroom. To ensure that the Team CruiseCraft family social events have something for everyone, organised activities include beach cricket, sand building contests, best dressed CruiseCraft boat and crew, longest distance travelled to the event, oldest CruiseCraft boat and the Experts’ Corner where people have the opportunity to get answers to all sorts of technical and general boating queries. While Team CruiseCraft operates as an autonomous entity and at arm’s length from the factory operations of CruiseCraft Boats, CruiseCraft does provide significant support and resources across a number of fronts. Not only is this an expression of thanks from CruiseCraft to the owners of CruiseCraft, but the events provide invaluable feedback from the very people who purchase and fish from a CruiseCraft boat. And it is this contribution of ideas and thoughts that goes into the CruiseCraft R&D melting pot to make the next generation of CruiseCraft boats even better.
