CruiseCraft boats and V8 Supercar racing powerhouse, Team Betta Electrical have joined forces with the CFMEU & Master Builders Charity Ball to raise money for the Royal Children's Hospital Foundation.

Staged at the Sofitel Hotel, the charity auction event was organised by the Queensland Master Builders Association (QMBA) in conjunction with the Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union (CFMEU).

The Charity Ball raises much needed funds for the sick kids in Brisbane and is conducted every two years. Total donations aim to reach in excess of 1 million dollars this year from industry groups and vital fundraising events- including the Charity Ball and Auction.

The extensive auction list featured items including a Ford Courier 4x4 Supercab, Fender Guitar signed by Lee Kernaghan and a special Superstar Package of prizes from the V8 Supercar Team, Triple 8 Racing and CruiseCraft.

As part of the Superstar Package, CruiseCraft boats donated a memorable Day in the Bay Cruise aboard their Team Resort 6 V8 260hp Bowrider. The package also included one Hot Lap for one person at Willowbank, exclusive Triple Eight Garage Tour in Brisbane for 6 people, and a Team Betta Electrical pit crew shirt signed by Craig Lowndes, Steve Ellery and Adam Macrow.

The Team Betta Electrical V8 Superstar Package was successfully auctioned off to John and Christine Gaskin from Brisbane's Gaskin Construction Services. The Gaskin's have elected to give the items to their 2 sons.

"Both of our sons are mad keen Craig Lowndes fans and will get a huge thrill meeting the Betta Electrical Team," said Christine Gaskin.

CruiseCraft announced a vibrant sponsorship package with Triple 8 Racing's Team Betta Electrical in May this year. The sponsorship rights package involves CruiseCraft logos being placed on the front guards and under the bonnet of both race cars, promotional involvement at Championship events and an annual consumer competition, promoted within the Betta Electrical catalogue later this year.

According to CruiseCraft Sales and Marketing Manager Peter Benston, the partnership between CruiseCraft and Triple 8 racing is fantastic and their involvement in charity evenings is very important.

"We are delighted to have been jointly involved with Team Betta Electrical," said Peter Benston. "We take our community service role very seriously and support the important work the Royal Children's Hospital Foundation does for our community."

"The boating lifestyle is enjoyed by families from all walks of life throughout Australia. A charitable cause that is devoted to keeping children and families in the best of care deserves the attention from all high profile industries abroad."

Queensland's largest building industry membership organisation, the QMBA represents over 10,000 members comprising builders, sub-contractors, manufacturers, industry consultants and students. The CFMEU is Australia's main trade union for construction, forestry, mining and energy resource fields.

CruiseCraft is a wholly family owned, third generation Australian Boat manufacturing business, operating from their Brisbane facility. CruiseCraft boats are distributed exclusively by a network of Authorised Dealers throughout Australia and selected international markets.
